“known in the fashion world as BenzoBee” is a creative story teller. Who uses fashion photography to create beautiful art, that captures the imagination and excites the mind. His belief is that a fashion image, not only can look pleasing to the eye, but can also convey a message or a feeling without the use of words. His art allows the viewer not only see the image but to experience it.

KEVIN BARRANCO

The layers of art were present in our recent fashion show event at MM-O-DD. Getting to collaborate on and photograph my first runway was something that reassured me I am in my element. -Kevin Barranco

I consider myself a contemporary artist with an old soul and a futuristic perspective. My vision comes through continuous experimentation of different mediums, some of which include videography, graphic design, and 3D-collage. More specifically, I’ve been taking my photographic style in a fashion editorial route with tones of futurism and abstractionism. Dark and moody concepts in general really speak to me and who I am. -Kevin Barranco (Photo: Lily Foley)

There’s few things as exciting as the energy and interesting minds in the scene! If there's one thing to be learned is how much each artist can inspire another with their work. -Kevin Barranco
ALEEX WEST

I am a photographer born and raised in Macomb, MI. My first camera was gifted to me when I was 15. As the years went on I started exploring different avenues of photography and have recently landed on Fashion Editorial and portrait work. The energy I feel when working with other professional creatives is unmatched with any other type of photography. Creating and capturing a moment in time to showcase the talents of others is what I live for. (photo: Lily Foley)

"I wanted to capture the outfits in their entirety by getting close up, dramatic shots from a low angle to emulate a large runway. Even though it was an intimate show, it had the energy of a large fashion event." - Aleex West

I was born and raised in Southeast Michigan, and was gifted my first digital camera at age 10-before that you could find me snapping away on Kodak disposables! Art and design has always been my passion, and my photography reflects that. When photographing people, I search for a way to capture their energy and emotion to accurately preserve the memory of the moment. Being able to meet and work with other creatives at this event was so inspiring-the creative energy of Detroit is unmatched.
