2015-2019 collaborative programming. In January 2020, Collected Detroit began to host us.

This diverse group of local-to-global individuals collaborate to provide multi-generational community impact, educational enrichment and an Ah-Ha Spark. This ignited awareness engages the audience about historical references, current innovation and future insight into the Design Industry.

Founder Ms. Pilling is the visionary and principle curator. Her background in Design spans multiple decades. Her inclusive mind-set and devotion to highlight the people who are the Designers or our future Designers is why she has developed the museum.

Executive Vice President

Jim Sercu oversees the financial scope of MM-O-DD.

Christianne Sims-Malone (Executive Board of Director's Secretary) and active Detroiter: is a founding member and one of the first few people to develop MM-O-DD into a community based edutainment platform. She has volunteered her time, energy and insight since 2012.

Aki Choklat is on the MM-O-DD Board of Director's and is CEO 'Aki Choklat' and CCS Center for Creative Studies Head of the Fashion Accessories Department

Mr. Altherr (Director of Biomimicry) CEO Nature Comes Standard

Aaron COO at Uniland Corp. which supports MM-O-DD with funding, strategic insight and community connections. He provides community engagement focused on the Build/Construction Design related industry.

Entrepreneur focused on the development of public and human capital, domestically and abroad. Lynley Honkanen is on the Board of Directors and is the MM-O-DD Director of Youth Edutainment. She has been a volunteer since 2016. (7+ years)

Ackeem Salmon is an art director, photographer, and multimedia artist. His BFA from the College for Creative Studies in Photography with a minor in Fine Art. He specializes in Fashion and Fine Art portraiture. His work; postcolonial theories, aspects of critical thinking. Why do you like being part of MM-O-DD? "I like being a part of MM-O-DD because it is a space that allows me to work and collaborate alongside like-minded doers and thinkers throughout the Metro-Detroit Area"

Arkadiy is a Fashion Designer.

Bret is a conceptual artist and the GM at SEE eyewear.

Bryan is the owner of Channel Iris and the Director of Business for PM1 media.

Cameron: Fashion Designer

Daphne is an accessory designer and women's empowerment activist.

Kate is a very engaged MM-O-DD Social Council person who activates some of the Campaigns for our on-going programs and exhibitions. Currently she is working on the BIO-

Simonelli and Assoc. Intellectual property Attorney

Elisabeth is a passionate, professional Stylist. Her private clientele range from personal to career driven individuals on a national level.

Evan is a Fashion Designer and owns his own fashion brand.

Founder of the Detroit River Coalition and the Belle Isle Conservancy Sustainability Department Director

Ijania is a self-taught Detroit artist. They are featured on HBO.

Parker owns Hedgehog Health and is the President of BARD

Jacob is a Fashion Accessory Designer as well as in a Punk Band called The Seamsters.

Jem is the Gallery Director of Collected Detroit. Their life-long passion for Detroit is identified through creativity.

Juniper is pursuing her studies in Psychology. She will be supporting the MM-O-DD BRIANWORXX programming both as an active volunteer researcher.

Fine art photographer and mixed media artist and member of Lost Artists Collective, plus on the MM-O-DD Social Council.

Malik is an environmental Scientist and works with the City of Detroit

Margaret is a Fashion and Accessory Designer. CCS Alumni. Sustainability based.

Marian is the Executive Director of Global Ties> Detroit.

Marla owns Kaftan Designs LLC.

Mary is a community connector.

Melanie is the College for Creative Studies Lead for the Colors and Materiels Science Department.

Mike is an artist and a product designer. He is also from the House of Han.

Morgan is the President of Heal.Be.Live What does being part of MM-O-DD mean to you? “Imagine an initiative that’s ahead of its time, trail-blazes artistic movements, and empowers the integrity of its artists. This is MM-O-DD. And this is why I love being a part of it.”

Nancy is a fine art mixed-media artist. “ MM-O-DD is an innovative hub for Detroit’s creative art scene and I’m both honored and humbled to be a part of the MM-O-DD Social Council. Once I realized how it integrates art, design, science, and technology I knew I wanted to be involved. “

Natasha Panina is a World Champion Ballroom Dancer and global instructor

Ms. Ural is the Honorary Republic general of the Republic of Turkey

Nicole is a co-owner of Detroit Hives.

Shannon is owner of Detroit Fashion News, Glamorous Mom's and Lazovski Agency.

Sofia is a Senior at CCS Fashion Design Department.

Stephen is Executive Director at Pewbic Pottery.

We honor Mr. Alexander an devoted Detroiter. He volunteered for the MM-O-DD professional photographer Council from 2019-2020.

We honor the life-long passion that Gabe had for the security of his fellow citizens. He survived in the Military for many years. He was our Director of Security for 4 years.

Artist

We honor Eric who was one of the first people who assisted in the development of the the original vision of MM-O-DD. His talents will be remembered and his loyalty to Detroit celebrated.

Paul J. Smith (September 8, 1931 – April 26, 2020) was an arts administrator, curator, and artist based in New York. Smith gives MM-O-DD the first piece in our permanent collection.

THANK YOU Robert C. and Archille Jones for honoring the legacy of Robert S. and Margaret Jones They were both educators. He was a Wayne State University engineering professor and she was a 7th grade Science teacher in the Detroit Public School system for 20+ years. Thank you to the family for their support for the 2016/2017 Biomimicry Design Dare Challenge programming.
